How to Convert Website Visitors into Travel Clients

Do your website visitors become your travel clients?

If not – I’d like to help, because this is one of the best ways to grow your travel business.  If you have a travel website that converts your visitors into clients, it makes getting leads easier.

When it comes to travel websites, most focus on the bells and whistles they would like.  How fast the slide show moves.  Where the navigation bar sits. How the website pages are laid out…

But when it comes to creating a website that converts your website visitors into travel clients, you must:

Get the attention of your Ideal Travel Client.

Collect visitors’ email addresses.

And create an opportunity to convert your new subscriber into a travel client.

Sounds simple right?  And it is once you know what goes into it.

Create a Magnetizing Website that Converts Website Visitors

Captivate. What you say and how you say it matters. To captivate your Ideal Clients, you must use the right words to pique their interest in you, your brand, and your business.

If I were to visit your website would I know:

What you do?

How you do it?

Who you work with?

Capture. Your website must be able to capture the names and email addresses of those who visit your website.

You can do this by signing up for an auto-responder system that will collect the names and email addresses with those who enter them and click a button.  A few auto-responder services I’ve used for helping with this part of my business are Aweber, Drip, and Kartra. Look for a service that provides you with all your digital platform needs.

If I were to visit your website would I be:

Invited to connect further?

Offered high-quality content?

Clearly make an offer for something of value, in exchange for my name and email address? 

Convert. This happens after the “capture.” This is where you build the know, like, and trust to get more clients.  This is where you help your new subscriber take the next step towards becoming a new client.  What is the next logical path for them?  You define it.

If I were a subscriber, would I learn:

How to connect with you further about your services?

What I may expect when I work with you?

What other people think of your services?

This is how you build the know, like, and trust to convert website visitors into travel clients.

The Fix

How can I capture more visitors?

How can I better convert my subscribers?

Hello and welcome! Thank you for joining me for another Travel Business Success Circle power training session. During these highly focused, content packed training sessions, I share what’s making a difference today to help you build a successful travel business so you can get more clients, make more money, and create a travel business that your life loves. 

 

How to Convert Website Visitors into Travel Clients 

 

In this training, I’m going to share with you how to convert your website visitors into travel clients by using a 3-step system I put to work in my travel business back in 2014 and I haven’t looked back since. Since that time, I’ve helped just over a thousand people experience the magic of sojourns. With 19 group leaders on 31 retreats using this strategy. These days I personally host two to three events a year, which is why I started teaching my strategy.

When you built your website, who did you focus on?  

 

Okay, so you have to tell me, when you build your travel website what do you focus on? Do you focus on your travel business or your ideal travel client? When it comes to travel websites most focus on their colors, fonts, and logo along with all the bells and whistles. How fast the slideshow moves, where the navigation bar sits, and how the website pages are laid out.  

 

But, when it comes to creating a website that converts your website visitors into travel clients you want to build a website that will 

 

  1. Get the attention of your ideal clients.
    2. Collect your visitors email addresses and names; and 
  2. Create an opportunity to turn your new subscriber into a travel client. 

 

This becomes as easy as it sounds once you know what goes into it, which is what I’m here to share with you today.  

 

Most people tend to focus all of their energy in building a list by capturing names and email addresses on opt-in landing pages on their website. But getting the attention of your ideal travel clients is important too. This helps you identify and qualify the leads you collect. This way you know that who you’re reaching out to is open to doing business with you. It doesn’t help you to build your email marketing list with a whole bunch of people who aren’t interested in your travel services or interested in how you want to help them travel, right? And creating an opportunity to connect is the key and final step to this travel business growth strategy. By consistently creating and sharing content via email, you can convert your website visitors and new subscribers into travel clients. This is something most neglect! Don’t let that be you because this is easy to do and critical for consistent growth in your travel business. There are some important things to do at each step and once you know how, getting it done to grow your travel business is as easy as captivating, capturing, and converting. 

 

Step 1: Captivate 

At Travel Business Success Circle, this is how we do it. First, we captivate. We captivate by focusing on what you say and how you say it because it matters. To capture your ideal clients, you must use the words that they use to catch their eye and draw their attention to pique their interest. One way I test to see how well this is doing is when I visit travel websites, I look to see if I would know what you do, who you work with, and what the promises of your services.  

 

Step 2: Capture 

Second, we go to capture. We capture by creating website landing pages and widgets that are built to capture the name and email addresses of those who visit your website. You do this by signing up for an autoresponder system. This is what’s going to collect the names and email addresses for you, so those who enter them and click a button signifying they want to connect further, this is how you’ll reach out to them.  

 

A few autoresponders I’ve used for helping with this part of my travel business trip are AWeberDrip, and Kartra. Each of these have autoresponder systems and features that can make marketing to your subscribers more effective. Be sure to look for a service that provides all of the marketing needs you need for your travel business.  

 

So, some of the questions I ask myself when I visit websites is 

Am I invited to connect further?  

Is there an offer for high-quality piece of content?  

Is there a clear offer or place for me to subscribe for updates?  

 

Step 3: Conversion 

Once I look at that then I move on to the third thing that we need to check, which is converting and how we’re doing there. The conversion happens when a subscriber becomes a travel client. his happens after the capture.  

 

This is where you have the opportunity to build that “know I can trust” to get more travel clients. You can do this by helping your new subscriber take the next step towards becoming your newest travel client. Think of what the next logical step is or what is the path for my ideal client. Know that they need your direction, so if I were a new subscriber 

 

Would I know how to connect further with you about your services or what it looks like when I hire you? What other people think of your services? 

 

These are three important things to make sure you convey throughout your emails to your new subscribers. if you would like to attract more of your ideal travel clients, use the questions I shared to look at your travel website the way visitor does. Then ask yourself: 

What can I do to be more captivating?  
How can I capture more visitors?  
How can I better convert my subscribers?
