Content is king.

You’ve heard it before and as long as you are marketing your travel business you will hear it again because it’s true.

Your ability to convey a clear and concise message to your Ideal Travel Clients is essential to captivating their interest and converting them into clients, no matter where you meet them.

Most people focus on the words when they think about content but, there’s work to do before you get to the words.

What Is a Content Strategy?

A content strategy is a high-level path that guides your content development, so you achieve your business objective.

When it comes to marketing your travel business, you want to start creating copy and content with two things in mind.

First, your goal. Your goal is important because it gives you focus – where you want your content to lead people.  Create content that leads people down a path that will help them get to where you want them to go – traveling using your amazing services, right?

But if we aren’t sure what we want to offer them or what they want our content does little to move them down that Lifelong Ideal Travel Client Journey.  If you’re sending out newsletters and blogging consistently with lackluster results, this is what’s probably going on.

You see it’s great to have fun and explore when you’re traveling, but when it comes to methodically and strategically growing your business, you don’t want to fly by the seat of your pants.

Second, your audience. When you know your audience, you can speak to them in a way that is relatable which is powerful when it comes to gaining credibility and trust.  This means finding out what your Ideal Travel Clients want and why they want it.
